GovSG is searching for our next great tier 2 IT System Administrator with a Secret clearance to add to the onsite support team in Norfolk, Virginia (St. Juliens Creek Annex/Portsmouth). This full-time position supports NAVWAR’s Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic Research, Development, Test & Evaluation (RDT&E) network as a Tier 2 system administrator providing advanced desktop and systems support for both network-connected and standalone laboratory environments in various locations.This position supports Windows domain administration, virtual machine deployments, endpoint infrastructure, STIG implementation, and continuous monitoring activities within secure DoD lab environments. The Tier 2 system administrator serves as an escalation point beyond Tier 1 and works closely with engineers and cybersecurity personnel to ensure operational reliability and compliance.This position is on-site in Norfolk St. Js Portsmouth, VA.Responsibilities:This position is responsible for systems infrastructure including engineering, implementation and integration, and technical services and support. Designs, implements, installs, maintains, and administers infrastructures including hardware, software, and various configurations. Monitors overall performance to proactively identify potential issues and tune appropriately. Performs root cause analysis on failed components and implements corrective measures. Works with others to establish and improve processes and procedures.
