We're looking to hire people who share these values-along with our commitment to student success, equity and excellence.Who You AreThe Department of Continuing Education is a vital part of Front Range Community College's (FRCC) Workforce Solutions division, which includes apprenticeships, customized training, and small business development. The division focuses on building strong partnerships with businesses and other employers, addressing workforce development needs through non-credit classes, group programs, and facilitating credential pathways, as well as creating both credit and non-credit programs to meet the evolving needs of the community.The Instructor plays a key role in the delivery and continuous improvement of educational programs. This position is responsible for providing high-quality instruction in various subject areas, ensuring that the curriculum is aligned with industry standards and best practices. The instructor will develop and deliver engaging lessons that support student success and prepare learners for success in their careers.The Instructor will work with department staff to coordinate class schedules, manage course materials, and ensure effective delivery of courses in both in-person and online formats. The instructor will support the overall growth of the program by providing feedback on curriculum development and course structure and ensuring that course objectives meet the needs of students and employers. As part of ongoing professional development, instructors will be required to attend FRCC's Train the Trainer course annually.This position requires flexibility, with the potential for remote work, as well as occasional on-campus presence and travel to offsite locations, including all three FRCC campuses, as necessary for course delivery and engagement with local employers.SELECTION PROCESS: This is an open talent pool. (See: Instructor & Variable Hour Employee Benefit Information).Primary DutiesDeliver High-Quality Instruction:Provide engaging and effective instruction in assigned subject areas, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.Create and deliver dynamic lessons that support student learning and success, utilizing a variety of teaching methods, tools, and technologies.Maintain a positive, respectful, and organized learning environment, whether in-person or online.Manage class schedules and ensure that courses are delivered on time and as planned.Curriculum Development and Improvement:* Collaborate with department staff to develop, revise, and improve course content to meet student and employer needs.* Ensure that the curriculum is updated regularly and aligns with the latest industry trends and standards.Required CompetenciesInstructional Expertise:Ability to deliver high-quality, engaging instruction across various learning environments (in-person, online, and hybrid). Understands the importance of the work that you do to support institutional goals.QualificationsRequired Education/Training & Work Experience:A Bachelor's degree (or related industry credentials).Five (5) years of professional experience in an industry related to the topics being taught.Two (2) years of experience teaching or training in a formal or informal setting (e.g., classroom, on-the-job training, workshops, apprenticeships).Ability to design and deliver hands-on and classroom-based instruction effectively.Demonstrated expertise in industry best practices.Competency with common office and instructional technologies (e.g., Microsoft Office, email, learning management systems).Comfortable using virtual platforms for communication and instruction (e.g., Zoom, Teams).Welcoming.
