This role is essential in helping maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our residents and staff.Position Summary:The Maintenance Assistant will work closely with the Maintenance Director to support routine maintenance, repairs, and facility upkeep. This position is ideal for someone who is hands-on, dependable, and takes pride in their work.Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Assist with general maintenance tasks including repairs, painting, and basic plumbing/electrical workSupport the facility's preventive maintenance programHelp ensure the building, equipment, and grounds are properly maintainedPerform routine inspections of work areas, storage rooms, and equipmentAssist with upkeep of utility and janitorial areas to ensure cleanliness and organizationRespond to maintenance requests in a timely mannerWork collaboratively with other departments to support facility needsAssist with preparing for and maintaining compliance during facility inspections and surveysEnsure outside vendors and service providers complete work as expectedQualifications:Previous maintenance experience preferred, especially in a healthcare or facility settingBasic knowledge of building systems, repairs, and toolsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsMust be able to pass a background check and pre-employment screeningSchedule:Part-time hours with flexibility based on facility needs with required every other weekend availability.If you're a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about maintaining a safe and comfortable environment, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
