Grow. with us.To save time applying, Toyota does not offer sponsorship of job applicants for employment-based visas or any other work authorization for this position at this time.Who we're looking forToyota's Business Unit Finance Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Analyst.The primary responsibility of this role is to support Connected Experiences Division management to achieve their financial and operational goals by leading the Accounting & Finance activities in the Connected Experiences Division.Reporting to the Manager, CXD Business Unit Finance, the person in this role will develop, implement and maintain the financial plans and policies of the organization. They will establish fiscal controls, prepare financial reports, maintain relations with CXD project owners, advise on financial affairs and assist in long-range planning.What you'll be doing Maintain and develop expert knowledge of the organization's business models including driving assumptions and calculationsAssess and provide enhancements, updates, kaizen opportunities to the business models where and when it is needed to improve its accuracyProvide business model reporting: monthly, quarterly and based upon created scenariosRun business model scenarios; forecasting future profit/loss and project customer engagement of new product/serviceConduct ad-hoc financial analysis and provide actionable insightsDevelop and deliver reports and recommendations to senior-level managementSupport end-to-end processes for the following activities: supplier setup, trade flow development and evaluation, invoicing, and payment reconciliationDrive financial management reporting and analysis for a specified functional group/sub-group and/or specific profit element.Utilize analytical models for functional (or profit element) budgets and forecasts and variance analysis comparing actual results vs. projectionsPerform cost-benefit analyses for business cases, supporting decision-making and prioritization processes.Develop data-driven analyses of risks to be mitigated or opportunities to be pursued, and model alternate action plans to optimize results.Support management of data structure within corporate systems to support effective and accurate cost/profit data aligned with organizational areas of accountabilityExecute assigned elements of internal control program within functional area and/or profit elementApply corporate accounting policies and liaise with technical accounting, tax, or consolidation teams to ensure ongoing understanding and compliance.What you bring Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other analytical degree with equivalent work experienceExperience in accounting, financial reporting, or other relevant experience with progressively increasing responsibilitiesDeep understanding of business modeling.Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to think strategically and formulate concrete recommendations/action plansExperience with projects in budget/financial reporting and collaborating with interdepartmental, cross organizational, and development teamsStrong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills in closing process gaps and resolving issuesDemonstrated leadership skills in a team-oriented environmentProficiency with MS Excel and advanced functionalityAdded bonus if you have CPA and/or MBACash basis and accrual basis accounting experience a plusExperience working in data monetization or connected vehicle data is a plusDemonstrated experience in data analysis, financial modeling, management reporting and cost benefit analysisHands on experience with Tableau, Power BI reporting toolsWhat we'll bringDuring your interview process, our team can fill you in on all the details of our industry-leading benefits and career development opportunities.
