Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. We are searching for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to serve as an Emotional Behavior Disorder (EBD) Center-Based Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract position is located at a unique specialty elementary school celebrated for its focus on Mathematics, Science, and Children's Engineering, where students discover the joy of learning through Project Lead the Way Launch—encouraging exploration in engineering, computer programming, and science in engaging ways.Your expertise will play a central role in creating an environment where each student can thrive both academically and emotionally. As the on-site EBD specialist, you'll collaborate with a dynamic team to make a real difference every day.Qualifications:Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification (Tier 3 or 4 required)Experience working with students with emotional and behavioral disordersSpecial Education Teacher licenseFamiliarity with elementary-level math, science, and engineering concepts is a plusStrong communication and collaboration skillsCompassion, patience, and a passion for student growthKey Responsibilities:Provide direct instruction and support to K-5 students within an EBD Center-Based classroomDevelop, implement, and monitor IEPs and individualized behavior plansCollaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to foster student successUtilize project-based strategies in mathematics, science, and engineering to engage studentsEstablish a positive classroom climate that nurtures emotional and academic growthThis full-time, Monday to Friday opportunity offers you the chance to make a lasting impact in a supportive, innovative school community.
