Manufacturing Engineer

Responsible for supporting plant operations through completion of engineering and maintenance projects. Design and develop processes for manufacturing needs. Provide engineering support to welding, fabrication, painting, and assembly-line operations.Essential FunctionsEnsures applicable quality standards are met in the introduction of trailer products Responsible for continual improvement of process and product quality Manages engineering design process, installation, MPAP, and long-term technical support of the manufacturing process while meeting quality, capability, and cost targetsAutomate existing processes and lead CAPEX projectsPLC programming and controls support Ensures tools and fixtures required to support processes are available and are in good working conditionIntroduces new parts and processes to support developing productsCoordinates installation of new production processes in the facility required to produce the trailer productsCreates mechanical designs for project work throughout the facilityAssist with improving methods and reducing costs RequirementsBachelor degree in engineering or a related field5+ years experience performing engineering work ideally for a metalworks operationExperience with controls and PLCs to include programming ability Knowledgeable of robotic systems as used with manufacturingFamiliarity with metal fabrication and MIG welding processes Experience working with various tooling and fixturesExperience with CAD and CAM technology Working knowledge of procurement processes Proven success as to solving problems and making decisionsDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writingEffective interpersonal skills that fosters teamwork and aids intraorganizational coordination and cooperationWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
