With the support of some of the most experienced professionals in the business, you can expect to develop your career at EY and build a strong foundation in your tax technical, management, marketing and business skills.Your Key ResponsibilitiesServe clients in various public and private industries and sectorsInterface directly with clients and lead day-to-day project management activitiesAnalyze client data/information and prepare commensurate analysesParticipate in analysis of large datasets and evaluate pertinent laws and regulationsCollaborate with firm subject matter professionals to analyze client factsProvide guidance and direction to associates on engagementsWork directly with BTS partners to deliver client engagements and support team developmentSkills And Attributes For SuccessFacilitate delivery of effective approaches to clients' tax needsApply critical and independent thinking to identify new business opportunitiesAssist in executing client engagementsProvide timely and high-quality tax research and technical memorandaProactively manage projects for timely delivery of analysis and client deliverablesSupport development of client relationshipsLearn and develop specific client industry and sector knowledgeGuide associates with actionable performance feedbackStay current on trends and apply technical knowledge to client scenariosDemonstrate willingness to innovate using tools like SharePoint, MS Power BI, MS Power Pivot, MS Power Query, and AlteryxTo qualify for the role, you must haveA Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, management information systems, or related field with approximately nine years of related work experience, OR a graduate degree in tax, law or management information systems with minimum eight years of related work experienceA valid US Enrolled Agent, CPA or licensed attorney designationExperience preparing tax research and related analysisProficiency in analyzing large datasetsAbility to learn and apply complex tax and industry conceptsStrong managerial, organizational, project management, and communication skillsComfort supervising teams of EY and client personnelBusiness and tax technical writing skillsProficiency with MS Excel, MS Access, and data mining toolsWillingness to travel and work in a hybrid environmentIdeally, you'll also haveFamiliarity or experience with IRS tax controversy and statistical samplingExperience with data analytics and visualization tools like MS Power BI, MS Power Pivot, MS Power Query, and AlteryxBig 4 comparable experienceCertifications in Alteryx or Microsoft products (MSCA)Advanced degree such as MST, MSA, JD, or LLMWhat We Look ForWe are interested in tax professionals who are excited about implementing sophisticated types of quantitative analyses, with the confidence and knowledge to think creatively in a constantly shifting environment. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $130,600 to $298,700. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $156,800 to $339,300. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
