Job Overview
Organize and administers individualized age-specific professional care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital in support of medical care. Supports the philosophy, objectives and the mission and vision of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center and the Department of Nursing. Practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act, American Nurses Association Standards of Practice, Code of Ethics for Nurses, Department of Health Regulations, TJC requirements and other regulatory agencies. Participates in patient teaching and discharge planning. Participates in Unit Performance Improvement evaluation activities.
Qualifications
Required
Must be a graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
Minimum (2) two years recent/current Med/Surg experience required
Completion of all orientation requirements by Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.
Successful completion of all orientation programs is required by Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center.
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Nursing
Certifications and Licenses Required
Active NJ RN License
Basic Life Support BLS from the American Heart Association
Scheduling Requirements
Per Diem
2 - 12.5 hour shifts per month, both shifts on weekend
1 - 12.5 hour Summer Holiday (July 4th , Easter, Labor Day)
1 - 12.5 hour Winter Holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
