EPS Corporation is seeking a Boat Operator / Diving Operations Technician supports Test and Evaluation (T&E) and Surface Support Craft Operations and Maintenance in support of NSWC PCD's Special Mission Systems Division. This position operates and maintains SDV chase and support boats (DV-3, DV-6, and Navy Catamaran) and provides direct support to SEAL Delivery Vehicle (SDV) diving operations, including pre-mission checks, fleet fielding events, and corrective maintenance activities at Government and field locations. Requirements REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSActive SECRET security clearance; U.S. citizenship requiredQualified and experienced boat operator; must hold or obtain appropriate U.S. Coast Guard or equivalent qualification for operation of small craft in the DV-3 and DV-6 size classValid State of Florida driver's license (or ability to obtain) and compliance with NSAPCFLINST 5560.2D and OPNAVINST 5100.12J for vehicle/equipment operation on Government propertyDemonstrated experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of small marine vessels and associated onboard equipmentExperience supporting diving operations or SDV test and evaluation in a military or Government contractor environmentAbility to maintain thorough maintenance records and documentationStrong troubleshooting skills; ability to perform minor hardware repairs and coordinate corrective actions in the fieldMust register in U.S. Navy TWMS and complete all mandatory Government training requirementsMust read and understand English; conduct that is professional, courteous, and businesslike at all times on Government facilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIESQualified operation of SDV chase and support boats including DV-3, DV-6, and Navy Catamaran, as well as replacement or substitute craft in similar classesPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on surface support craft and onboard equipment to ensure mission readinessRetain accurate maintenance records for all chase and support boats in accordance with program requirementsProvide test and evaluation support for SDV systems and equipment including diving equipment, specialized test gear, supplies, and incidental materials as required by applicable test plansConduct component testing, pre-installation testing, pre-operational testing, and operational testing in accordance with NSWC PCD-accepted test practices and proceduresParticipate in fielding events and planning meetings; perform pre-mission checks as needed for deployed systemsProvide on-site support including troubleshooting, minor vehicle/hardware repairs, software or firmware installation, and submission/updating of fielding procedures and Failure Analysis Reports (FARs)Assemble installation kits, checkout kits, pack-up kits, and logistics support kits needed to maintain Fleet readinessSupport Depot-level functions including disassembly, troubleshooting, repair, and reassembly of manned submersible components as directedTravel to CONUS and OCONUS deployment locations as required to support fleet fielding and test eventsReport all Fleet support and T&E activities in the Contract Status Report (CDRL A028)Comply with zero safety incidents standard for all test operations and fleet support activities per performance AQL requirements Desired Skills/Other Considerations EPS Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
