Position Overview: Genesys is seeking passionate sales professionals for our Public Sector group, which focuses on the State and Local Government market. This dynamic, fast-paced environment places you at the forefront of Genesys' innovation, solidifying our position as a Top-Rated Gartner Quadrant CX Platform in a rapidly evolving industry. As a Senior Account Executive, your primary responsibility will be driving growth and expanding adoption among existing customers while also securing new business. A rigorous commitment to following our sales methodologies, including MEDDPICC, effective prospecting, and pipeline management is essential for success in this role. Key Responsibilities: Drive revenue growth, increase market share, and surpass new pipeline targets within your designated region. Lead and manage active sales opportunities in alignment with the Genesys Way of Selling (MEDDPICC). Guide new customers through the acquisition and procurement processes, leveraging your understanding of the relevant rules and regulations. Accurately forecast and strive to exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets. Develop and maintain Territory Plans that align your strategy with Genesys' overall direction and drive sales pipeline growth through engagement with prospects, partners, and key customers. Collaborate with Genesys Partners—including Value-Added Resellers (VAR), Integrators, AppFoundry, and Carrier channel partners—to enhance awareness of our solutions within the industry. Regularly coordinate marketing initiatives with internal teams to support regional revenue growth goals. Master the presentation of compelling business value propositions to customers through excellent communication skills. Understand customer business and technical requirements to influence the direction of our product offerings. Work alongside Genesys' internal partners, including legal and finance, to manage complex contract negotiations. Conduct quarterly and annual business reviews with senior management, focusing on strategies that align with revenue growth expectations. Enhance customer adoption and satisfaction in collaboration with our Customer Success Managers. Become an expert in positioning the business value of our Digital and AI products. Gain insights into customer missions and priorities by researching modernization plans, IT strategies, and related reports. Align customer initiatives and priorities with Genesys capabilities, showcasing how our products can meet their specific needs and create a strong differentiation for Genesys. Minimum Requirements: 8+ years of experience in field enterprise sales or business development, specifically targeting State and Local Government sectors and focusing on AI, enterprise software, cloud computing, and customer experience. Familiarity with the State and Local Government procurement and funding systems. BA/BS degree or equivalent experience. Proficiency in enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Clari or similar tools, Zoom, and others like ZoomInfo, DocuSign, Workday, and Tableau. Proven experience with MEDDPICC, Account Strategy Mapping, and Opportunity Planning. Willingness and ability to travel at least 25% as required. Desirable Skills: A technical sales background in customer experience solutions, including CCaaS, UCaaS, networks, AI, and cybersecurity. A demonstrated track record of consistently exceeding sales quotas. Previous experience selling to a variety of public sector agencies. An established industry and customer network. Compensation: This position offers a competitive salary with a base compensation range of $103,100 to $191,500.
