ESL Aide
Primary Purpose:Assist teacher in preparation and management of classroom activities and administrative requirements. Work under supervision of certified teacher.Qualifications:Education/Certification:High school diploma or GED and48.0 Semester hours of college coursework orEducational Aide Assessment TrainingSpecial Knowledge/Skills:Ability to work well with childrenAbility to communicate effectivelyExperience:Some experience working with childrenMajor Responsibilities and Duties:Instructional SupportAssist certified teachers, administration and office staff in preparing instructional materials and classroom displays.Help maintain neat and orderly classroom.Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment and instructional materials. Plan, organize and make workroom supplies, paper goods, and materials readily available to staff.Conduct instructional exercises assigned by the teacher; work with individual students or small group.Student ManagementHelp supervise students throughout school day, inside and outside classroom.
