We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing quality patient care and assisting in various medical procedures. This position requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities: - Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians - Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities - Assist with patient assessments and document findings accurately - Provide direct patient care, including wound care, dressing changes, and personal hygiene assistance - Collaborate with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans - Educate patients and their families on disease management, medication administration, and self-care techniques - Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems (Cerner) - Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to ensure a safe healthcare environment - Assist with various medical procedures such as spinal taps or ophthalmology exams Experience: - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse in an acute care setting - Experience working with pediatric patients is highly preferred - Proficient in administering injections and performing other clinical procedures - Strong knowledge of infection control practices and protocols Requirements: - Valid LPN license in TN - CPR certification - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail We offer competitive pay rates and comprehensive benefits packages for our employees.
