Systems Engineer

DescriptionTharros is seeking a Systems Engineer for an upcoming program supporting a US Navy customer focused on research, engineering, and technical center focused on information warfare, cybersecurity, C4ISR, electronic warfare, AI/ML, communications, and related defense technologies.Responsibilities:Support the design, integration, testing, and sustainment of Navy Command and Control (C2) systems and mission applications supporting joint and coalition operational environments.Analyze system requirements, architectures, interfaces, and operational workflows to ensure successful integration of software, hardware, networking, and tactical data systems across afloat and shore-based platforms.Assist with implementation and testing activities for containerized applications, service mesh architectures, DevSecOps pipelines, and AI/ML-enabled capabilities within representative Navy operational environments.Perform systems engineering activities including requirements analysis, configuration management, system validation, troubleshooting, cybersecurity compliance support, and technical documentation development.Collaborate with software developers, cybersecurity personnel, operators, and government stakeholders to support system modernization efforts and delivery of mission-focused C2 capabilities.Support operational testing, experimentation events, and deployment activities across systems including MTC2, CANES, AEGIS interfaces, and other Navy tactical command and control platforms.RequirementsActive TS/SCI DoD ClearanceBachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline3 years of professional experience in systems engineeringExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include Teams or similar workplace chat and videoconferencing tools.
