Whether you have many years of experience or are in the early stages of your career, you can find a rewarding career at Grady!The Perinatal Center Non-Stress Testing Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, monitoring, and care of pregnant patients undergoing fetal surveillance in the form of non-stress testing. This nurse collaborates with the obstetric care team to ensure safe, high-quality care while maintaining a calm and supportive environment for expectant mothers.Key Responsibilities:Perform and interpret Non-Stress Tests (NST) to evaluate fetal well-being.Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, documenting findings accurately and timely.Assess fetal movement, heart rate patterns, and uterine activity, escalating abnormal findings to the provider.Educate patients and families on NST procedures and results.Maintain and troubleshoot fetal monitoring equipment.Assist with additional antepartum testing or care as needed.Collaborate closely with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare staff to ensure continuity of care.Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients during testing.Document all care provided in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.Uphold patient privacy and confidentiality in all interactions.QualificationsAssociate Degree in Nursing is required.One (1) or more years Registered Nurse job related experience required.Georgia License as a Registered Professional Nurse is required.Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.ACLS Certification required for all the following areas. New Graduates must obtain within 90 days of employment:§ All Critical Care§ Emergency Care Center (ECC)§ GI/Cath Laboratory§ Labor & Delivery§ All Intermediate Care§ Post Acute Care Unit (PACU)
