Single Medical Center Float RN based at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center, providing flexible staffing support across multiple units within the facility to address patient care needs, staffing gaps, and fluctuating census demands. Adapted quickly to varying patient populations and unit workflows while maintaining high standards of patient safety, teamwork, and clinical excellence. They serve where staffing needs are most urgent, providing interim coverage until permanent staff are hired. With assignments that may change daily and support for up to five locations, PNRT RNs bring flexibility, clinical confidence, and strong collaboration skills while gaining broad exposure to facilities, specialties, and care teams across Novant Health. Relocation up to $7,500 available! Float Pay Premiums up to $15.00 Night Shift and Weekend Differentials Available! What We're Looking For: Education : Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, required. BSN, preferred. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Experience : Team 1 (Specialty/CCU): Min 2 yrs in critical care or ED setting. Team 2 (Inpatient Acute) - Min 1 yr general Medical Surgical/Telemetry experience , required. Team 3 (Women's Svcs): Min 2 yrs in L& D, Post-partum, or NICU. All Teams require Cardiac Dysrhythmia test or successfully complete the Cardiac Dysrhythmia course within 6 months of hire. , required. Licensure/Certification : Current compact RN licensure in appropriate state, required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required. Additional skills preferred : Specialty Certification, Chemo Certification, Non Violent Crisis Intervention, Triage Course, NRP. What You'll Do: What You'll Do Provide safe, high-quality nursing care across multiple units and patient populations, ensuring continuity of care where staffing needs are most urgent. Step into assigned units each shift and quickly integrate with new care teams to maintain patient safety, quality outcomes, and operational flow. Serve as interim clinical support during staffing gaps, helping stabilize units until permanent team members are hired. Perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications and treatments, and respond to changes in patient condition in fast-paced environments. Collaborate closely with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary partners to support timely, coordinated care. Model best practices, policies, and workflows while supporting adoption of systems and technology across units. Act as a trusted clinical resource and mentor to unit staff, sharing knowledge and reinforcing professional nursing standards.
