Computer Numerical Control Programmer

Provides numerical control, machining and programming technical experience. Establishes technical requirements for manufacturing and producibility. Plans, creates, verifies and revises Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry and documentation that directs the operations for a complete spectrum of numerically controlled equipment required to manufacture and inspect parts, tools and assemblies for departmental work. Plans and guides the development and integration of new machining techniques and manufacturing methods, processes, software and equipment. Works under general direction.Position Responsibilities• Respond to NCQA Programming work authorization requests• Analyze Part/Assembly Dimensional Tolerances• Create MCD, Scripts, Plans for CMM, Laser Trackers, Portable Arm• Creation of 2D Mylar or 3D CAD Nominal data as derived from various sources of released engineering, loft, and measurement of physical master tools.• Develop Part / Assembly Indexing Plan for machining and/or inspection• Create and/or update Non-Conformance Documents (NCR’s) in CMES• Analyze Nominal vs. Measured Data, provide reports for Engineering Studies, Lean Improvement Projects, Non-Conformance Documentation, Inspection Reports, Machine Stability and Accuracy Tests, Reverse Engineering, SPC and Conformance ProcessesRequired Skills• Proven programming experience with one or more of the following applications: Modus, Camio, Calypso, Spatial Analyzer, Klingelnberg, MarShaft.• All contractors should have strong skills and functional knowledge to perform the SOW using the noted tools below:• Programming and Analysis of 3D Measurement Data for Production Assemblies, Detail Parts and Tooling from various sources including CMM and Laser Tracker• Modeling in CATIA V5 to create nominal engineering data• GD&T application knowledge is essential
