Commercial door delivery driver / Shop coordinatorReports to: General ManagerJob SummaryThe Commercial Door, Frame & Hardware Delivery Driver / Warehouse Worker / Shop Grinder is responsible for supporting daily operations by delivering materials to job sites, receiving and organizing inventory, preparing doors and hardware, and performing shop grinding and finishing tasks. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely deliveries and high-quality preparation of commercial doors, frames, and hardware.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDelivery & Jobsite SupportSafely load, transport, and deliver commercial doors, frames, and hardware to customer job sitesVerify delivery contents against packing slips and job documentationCommunicate professionally with contractors, project managers, and jobsite personnelAssist with unloading materials and staging as requiredMaintain company vehicles, including cleanliness, inspections, and basic upkeepWarehouse OperationsReceive incoming shipments and verify quantities and condition of materialsStock, organize, and maintain warehouse inventoryPull and stage materials for upcoming jobs and deliveriesOperate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (as certified)Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environmentShop & Grinding OperationsGrind, sand, and prep steel doors and frames for finishing and installationPerform basic modifications to doors and frames as required (cutouts, touch-ups, deburring)Assist with door and hardware preparation, including labeling and job identificationFollow shop drawings, schedules, and work orders accuratelyMaintain shop tools and equipment in safe working conditionSafety & QualityFollow all company safety policies and MIOSHA/OSHA guidelinesAlways use proper personal protective equipment (PPE)Report damaged materials, safety concerns, or quality issues promptlyMaintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detailQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferredValid Chauffer's driver's license or the ability to get one is a must have and an acceptable driving record that you can be insured by the company to drive vehicles under 26,000 lbs.
