Med-Surg Registered Nurse(RN) - PRN, Night Shift Preferred

Inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) Exceptional Healthcare – Micro-HospitalExceptional Healthcare is seeking a skilled and compassionate Inpatient Registered Nurse to join our patient-centered team in a 24/7 micro-hospital environment. In our close-knit setting, nurses play a central role in delivering high-quality care, collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams, and directly influencing patient outcomes.This position is based in the inpatient Med-Surg unit with Telemetry monitoring.Key Responsibilities:Deliver direct patient care, continuously evaluate outcomes, and adjust nursing interventions to ensure optimal resultsCommunicate effectively with physicians regarding changes in patient condition, symptoms, and diagnostic resultsRespond promptly and accurately to changes in patient status or treatment responsePerform comprehensive head-to-toe assessments and reassessments (including geriatric patients) per policyAssess and manage pain using appropriate techniques; educate patients and families on pain managementMonitor hemodynamic status and correctly interpret resultsIdentify and interpret cardiac dysrhythmias through telemetry monitoringPerform point-of-care (waived) testing in accordance with clinical laboratory and unit policiesAdminister medications safely, accurately, and in accordance with patient age and clinical conditionMaintain thorough, accurate, and timely documentation of patient histories, assessments, treatments, and responsesCreate a safe, therapeutic environment that minimizes the risk of medical errorsEngage patients and families in the development and implementation of individualized care plansDevelop and evaluate patient/family education plans based on identified learning needsUphold hospital policies, the Patient Bill of Rights, and standards outlined in the Nurse Practice ActDemonstrate a consistent commitment to teamwork and collaborationPerform additional duties as assignedQualifications:Graduate of an accredited school of nursingMinimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care hospital settingTelemetry and/or ICU experience strongly preferredCurrent, unrestricted Oklahoma Registered Nurse (RN) license or Texas Compact licenseCurrent BLS and ACLS certifications required;Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skillsExcellent communication, interpersonal, and patient/family teaching abilitiesAbility to care for adult and geriatric patientsBasic understanding of continuous quality improvement principlesProficient in basic computer skills and EHR documentation (experience with EPOWERdoc a plus)Schedule:12-hour shiftsFull range of shifts (days, nights, weekends, holidays) available
