Tableau Administrator Location: Remote within TexasDuration: 12-month contract with possibility to extensionRequired Experience:Dashboard developmentEnhance and add performance measures to the HHS performance management dashboard being developed to bridge the gap between now and the availability of the PMAS solution.Augments existing staff in the implementation of high priority performance measures across HHS divisions. Dashboard mockup development and user validation.Development of Tableau reports, visualizations, and dashboards per Tableau Shared Services Tenant requirements.Acquires data from a variety of data sources for use by Tableau reports, visualizations, and dashboards.Connects Tableau data visualization workbooks too, or populates from, external data sources, including the testing and validation of the Tableau object's ability to connect.Collaborates with other members of the team on the design and implementation of an optimal data design to support a Tableau Shared Services system.Testing, validation, and deployment of webpages and Tableau objects into a production environment.Develop and implement the services' processes, policies, and procedures.Contribute to end-to-end design and development of the Tableau Shared Services.Tableau Server AdministrationTableau Admin will be responsible for promoting Tableau objects into the production environment.Tableau Admin will execute a Data Loss Prevention (DLP) scan prior to the deployment of any objects to production in order to assess whether or not it contains PHI or sensitive data.Tableau Admin will conduct periodic monitoring and communicate any performance issues identified to the appropriate client.Tableau Admin will stop any processes that appear to be caught in a loop or placing undue strain on the system and putting the server at risk. Tenant contact will be notified of the issue and the process causing the problem.Tableau support will apply patches and upgrade server versions as they deem fit.Tableau Admin will contribute to the development and implementation of the services' processes, policies, and procedures.Tableau Admin will contribute to the end-to-end design and development of the services.Tableau Admin will implement, provision, and administer the Tableau Shared Services.Required Skills/Education:4 years of experience working with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server.Experience as a web application developer or web page developer.Experience performing dashboard mockup development and user validation.Experience working with various data sources, to include Relational Databases (e.g. MS SQL Server).4 years of experience of working with SQL ServerKnowledge of ETL concepts (preferred)Knowledge of data warehousing concepts (preferred)Creating Views, and stored procedures with Oracle databasesCreating Views, and stored procedures with MS SQL Server databasesGood written and verbal communication skills.Good problem solving and analytical skills.Tableau Server Qualified Associate or Professional certification (preferred)Bachelor's in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
