Line Cook Job DescriptionPosition: Line CookNumber of Available Positions: Full-Time and Part Time Positions Available!Location: Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, 32082The Plantation at Ponte Vedra Beach is seeking multiple Line Cooks. Full-time employees are also eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan after completing one year of service.Skills Required:Experience as a line cook in a fast-paced kitchen environmentAbility to work in a team and communicate effectively with other kitchen staffKnowledge of food safety and sanitation regulationsAbility to follow recipes and prepare dishes according to menu specificationsExperience with various cooking techniques, including grilling, sautéing, and fryingAbility to work in a high-pressure environment and manage multiple orders at onceFlexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededResponsibilities:Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and specificationsEnsure that all food is prepared and served in a timely mannerMaintain a clean and organized work areaFollow food safety and sanitation regulationsCollaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure that all orders are completed accurately and efficientlyAssist with inventory management and ordering supplies as neededPerform other duties as assigned by the head chef or kitchen managerPhysical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to ten pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty pounds.
