Assistant Account Manager (Commercial)
Position SummaryRue Insurance’s Assistant Account Manager is responsible for client account servicing and insurance renewal tasks to support the Account Managers. Quality of work must exemplify the best-in-class service standards established by Rue Insurance at all times. A primary objective of this role is to effectively support new and existing medium and large size commercial client accounts. The Assistant Account Manager is an integral part of the client onboarding and renewal processes.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist Account Managers with overall servicing of client accounts:request and compile pre-renewal client datarequest insurer loss runscreate draft proposals and summaries of insuranceinvoice transactions and assist with billing reconciliationsreview policies for accuracy and request and process changes as necessaryprocess mid-term policy change requests for client exposure changesassist with audit processingissue proofs of insurance and other client formsupdate and maintain Applied Epic client account and application detailcreate and transmit client correspondence and related documentation Process client policy renewals and remarketingOnboard new clientsFollow up on outstanding items, including, but not limited to, policy change requests, cancellations and reinstatements, and overdue premium payments, update agency management system accordingly, and communicate any concerns to Account ManagerPerform assigned responsibilities in accordance with agency-established client service standardsFollow all agency processes and procedures, including but not limited to Epic Workflows, documentation, and paper and electronic record maintenance and retention guidelinesEnsure all work product is timely and accurateProvide in-house customer service to producers and other agency departments as requestedEvaluate and answer client coverage questions and other client inquiriesHandle telephone, electronic, and in-person communication with clients, insurers, Rue personnel, and third parties in an empathetic and professional mannerAttend and participate in department and company meetings as requestedReports to: Chief Operating OfficerDepartment: CommercialWork Schedule & Classification: Full-time, salaried non-exempt positionSalary: $50,000 - $70,000 Annually Required QualificationsStrong customer service mindset and skillsStrong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to operate in a time-sensitive environment, with a sense of urgency when requiredStrong organizational skills with attention to detailAbility to work well with others as a team, as well as to work well independently and accept accountabilityAbility to be flexible, and to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with Microsoft OfficePreferred QualificationsActive New Jersey Property & Casualty Insurance LicenseFunctional and technical knowledge of commercial lines core coverages At least 1 year of commercial lines insurance experience at an agency or insurance companyAssociate’s DegreeProficiency with agency management software Experience with Applied Systems Epic softwareBenefits:Paid Time Off (PTO) 401(k) with Employer Match Profit Sharing Plan Flexible work and In Office/Remote Hybrid Work Schedules (after 90 days) Insurance options for: Medical, Dental, Vision, Long Term Disability, Short Term Disability, Life, Accident, Critical Illness, Accident Death & Dismemberment and Identity Theft Physical Requirements:Must be capable of sitting for a long period of time, working on a computer, standing, and walking.About Rue InsuranceRue Insurance is one of the largest independent insurance brokerages in the state of NJ, having been established in 1917.
