Travel Surgical Technologist in Scarborough, ME

Join a dynamic surgical team specializing in Level 1 trauma care within a leading medical center's Operating Room. This travel opportunity is ideal for certified surgical technologists with a minimum of three years' experience who excel in fast-paced, high-acuity environments. You will work alongside expert clinicians caring for a diverse patient population, including trauma, orthopedic, neurosurgery, and pediatric cases, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment such as Storz, Stryker, Olympus, and Intuitive Robotics.Key Qualifications:Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential requiredAt least 3 years of surgical technology experience, preferably in Level 1 trauma settingsExposure to a range of specialties is highly desirable (General, GU/GYN, Ortho trauma, Neuro, ENT, Pediatrics, Plastics, Dental, Endovascular)Proficient in use of Epic EMR system or ability to quickly adaptStrong teamwork skills, flexibility, accountability, and punctualityLocation: Scarborough, ME offers a charming New England coastal lifestyle with easy access to vibrant urban amenities in nearby Portland. Residents enjoy scenic views, fresh seafood, and a variety of outdoor recreational activities year-round.Responsibilities:Support surgeons during complex operative procedures in a 26-bed operating room with a 1:1 patient ratioManage surgical instruments and equipment effectively, including advanced robotic surgical systemsParticipate in scheduled call rotations including overnight trauma call and specialty team call dutiesMaintain sterile field and adhere to all safety protocols in a fast-paced environmentSchedule:3x12 hour day shifts: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.Weekend coverage approximately 1 in 4 weekendsCall requirements as outlined per specialty team
