The iconic Hotel del Coronado is looking for a Food Runner to join the Food & Beverage team! Join one of the last surviving wooden Victorian beach resorts in the world and after a $400M renovation and expansion, the resort is more stunning than ever.Located on Coronado Island just minutes from Downtown San Diego, this 28-acre property was built in 1888 and has over 750 rooms (to include cottages and villas), 65,000 square feet of banquet space, and 10 food and beverage outlets. Starting in May and ending no later than September 8, 2026Shift: Various - must be available to weekdays, weekends, and holidays.Pay Rate: The pay rate for this role is $21.22 per hour and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.What will I be doing?As a Runner, you would be responsible for maintaining and transporting all food products for a designated outlet or outlets in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:Prepare and replenish foods for hot and cold buffets to include, but not limited to, fruit, juices, cereals, bread, hot food, etc.Replenish ice and maintain time and temperature sanitation standardsTransport food items to and from the kitchenCheck, maintain and control inventory of food itemsRestock outlet(s) with inventory and break down the buffet to clean, replace and set for next dayPerform general cleaning to maintain cleanliness of work areaPut away food stock and dry goods according to established standardsWhat are we looking for?Since being founded in 1919, Hilton has been a leader in the hospitality industry.
