[2025 - 2026] Bus Drivers (CDL with S & P endorsements required)

KIPP ENC School Bus Driver To transport students to and from school and other designated sites and ensure the safety of the student passengers while operating a school bus. Reporting to the Transportation Manager, the Transportation Assistant Manager alongside being accountable to the Director of Transportation. As a KIPP ENC school bus driver, you will comply with all NC School Bus Safety laws in accordance with the NC Department of Transportation.Key Responsibilities:Uphold the mission and vision of KIPP ENCProvide a safe, healthy, consistent, positive, caring environment for children and staff that promotes:A positive student cultureHappy and healthy students and parentsEstablish and maintain effective working relationship with management team and co-workersReport to work daily and on timeComplete Pre and Post Trip bus inspections dailyDrives safely and efficiently and adheres to all NC traffic lawsExercise good judgement and extreme caution while operating a school busTimely report all mechanical issues to the Transportation Assistant Manager or Transportation ManagerPerform periodical drills as required by state lawAttend various meetings regarding safety, first aid, and Safe Schools Training onlineAccountable for student management and disciplineDiscuss Bus Expectations with student passengersTimely complete Bus Conduct report on student(s) not meeting expectationsRequirements:Must be at least 18 years old or olderA minimum of six (6) months of driving experienceMust have a NC driver's license for a minimum of six (6) monthsNo major traffic violations in two (2) yearsRequired Valid NCDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsementsValid NCDOT medical cardMust pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening
