555D Peeler Operator - 2nd Shift - Cooked - Demopolis

Position SummaryPeeler Operator is responsible for removal of casings (peeling) from fully cooked wieners in an efficient manner, feeding continuous strands of wieners through a peeling machine and unloading rods from base chiller using proper equipment and procedures. This role works closely with the department supervisors, other department leads and processing employees, in order to accomplish accuracy within the processing department and to ensure that our customers receive quality products.Duties And ResponsibilitiesRemove casings (peeling) from fully cooked wieners in an efficient manner, feeding continuous strands of wieners through a peeling machineUnload rods from chillerDon proper Personal Protective EquipmentHelp maintain and improve quality and food safety, to insure compliance with company quality standards and USDA regulatory requirementsMust work in safe mannerOther duties, as assignedEducation And Experience RequiredHS Diploma or GED Equivalent from an accredited institutionMust be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime, as neededRequirements Must be able to submit and pass a criminal background checkMust be able to read and writeMust have basic math skillsMust wear required personal protective equipment and clothingMust follow company GMP and Food Safety procedureMust follow company attendance policies and proceduresQualified applicants must be able to perform the following physical job requirements, with or without reasonable accommodation:Must be able to stand for long periods of time on a wet concrete floor and stand in a cold (40-48 degree) damp/wet environmentMust be able to lift 50 pounds several times per minute
