Position: Technical Program Manager, (hardware/electronics)Location: Greater Huntsville, AL, onsite full-timeEmployment Type: 6-12 months, Contract-to-HireAbout the OpportunityOur client is a rapidly growing technology company developing advanced hardware and software systems in a highly innovative engineering environment.The organization is expanding its engineering capabilities and seeking its first dedicated Technical Program Manager to help drive execution across multiple technical disciplines.This is not a traditional enterprise project management role. The ideal candidate enjoys working in fast-moving environments, thrives in ambiguity, and can help introduce structure and execution rigor without slowing down innovation.The Technical Program Manager will partner closely with engineering, product, and executive leadership teams to improve planning, visibility, communication, and delivery across software, mechanical, and electrical engineering organizations.What You'll DoLead complex cross-functional programs spanning software, hardware, mechanical, and electrical engineering teamsPartner with engineering leadership, product teams, and executive stakeholders to align priorities and executionDrive Agile planning, sprint execution, roadmap coordination, and dependency managementEstablish scalable program management processes and operating rhythmsTrack milestones, risks, blockers, and critical path items across multiple initiativesCreate visibility into engineering execution through dashboards, reporting, and metricsFacilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholdersHelp build repeatable processes while maintaining speed and agilityInfluence teams and drive accountability without direct authorityServe as a trusted operational partner to engineering and product leadershipQualifications5+ years of Technical Program Management, Technical Project Management, or related experienceStrong experience supporting software and hardware engineering organizationsDeep understanding of Agile methodologies and program delivery practicesAdvanced proficiency with Jira and related project management toolsExperience coordinating complex cross-functional initiativesExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skillsAbility to operate effectively in fast-paced, evolving environmentsComfortable creating structure where processes are still being establishedPreferred ExperienceRobotics, autonomous systems, IoT, connected devices, aerospace technology, automotive technology, or other complex hardware/software productsStartup or high-growth technology company experienceExperience building program management practices from the ground upEngineering or Computer Science backgroundExperience working directly with software, mechanical, and electrical engineering teamsWhat Success Looks LikeDuring the first six months, you will:Establish repeatable program management best practicesImprove planning and execution across engineering teamsIncrease visibility into priorities, dependencies, and delivery timelinesBecome a trusted partner to engineering and product leadershipHelp shape the next phase of growth for a rapidly scaling technology organizationThis is an excellent opportunity to join a growing engineering organization at a pivotal stage and help define how technical programs are managed as the company continues to scale.WE ARE NOT WORKING WITH THIRD PARTY AGENCIES ON ANY ROLES AT THIS TIME.
