Legal Interpreters - Miami, FLJTG is actively seeking freelance Legal Interpreters fluent in English and one of the following languages:Amharic, Arabic, Azeri, Bahasa, Chinese, French, German, Hindi, Korean, Mandarin, Norwegian, Spanish, WolofLocation: Miami, FLStatus: Freelance contractorCitizenship: U.S. citizen residing in the U.S. (dual citizenship accepted)Key Responsibilities:Provide high-quality interpreting services for legal and law enforcement settingsAccurately interpret while maintaining the original tone, register, and meaningUtilize industry-specific legal terminologyAdhere to the professional code of ethicsMinimum Requirements:4+ years of professional interpreting experienceProven experience in court interpretingStrong command of legal, formal, and diplomatic vocabularyFamiliarity with both formal and informal communication, including regionalisms and slangWillingness to undergo a U.S. government background checkPreferred Qualifications:Court interpreter certificationSuccessful completion of an interpreting exam by a U.S. government agency or equivalent (ILR3 score or higher)Specialized interpreting trainingExisting security clearanceEducation: Minimum of bachelor's degreeReports to: Program ManagerThis is an exciting opportunity for experienced legal interpreters looking to work in a dynamic, professional setting.
