Job Title: Mechanical Engineer III (Piping & Static Equipment Engineer)Location: Sabine Pass, TXSchedule: M-F, 40-50hrs/weekDuration: 1-3 years W2 contractPosition OverviewThe Mechanical Engineer III (Piping & Static Equipment Engineer) provides technical leadership and engineering support for piping systems, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, fired equipment, and other fixed mechanical assets within LNG and process facilities.This role supports safe, dependable, and efficient facility operations through equipment integrity management, engineering assessments, troubleshooting, maintenance support, project implementation, and Management of Change (MOC) activities.The position serves as a key member of the Reliability Engineering team and collaborates closely with Operations, Maintenance, Integrity, Project teams, and contractors to identify, prioritize, and implement improvements that enhance safety, reliability, and operational performance.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide engineering support for piping systems and static equipment across operating facilities.Maintain equipment integrity through technical evaluations and reliability-focused initiatives.Perform engineering assessments and troubleshooting of fixed mechanical equipment.Support maintenance activities and provide technical guidance for equipment repairs and modifications.Participate in Management of Change (MOC) processes and engineering reviews.Support project execution activities involving piping and static equipment systems.Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, Integrity, and Project teams to resolve technical issues.Work with contractors and external resources to execute engineering solutions and facility improvements.Identify, evaluate, and implement opportunities to improve plant safety, reliability, operability, and overall equipment performance.Required ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering.Experience supporting LNG facilities or other relevant process and industrial facilities within the last 5-7 years.Prior operations experience in a plant or operating facility environment.Strong background with piping systems, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, fired equipment, and other fixed assets.Experience supporting equipment reliability, integrity management, maintenance, and engineering evaluations.Familiarity with project support and Management of Change (MOC) processes.
