You will be responsible for maximizing the value of Gong's unique conversational dataset and developing advanced analytics models that drive actionable insights for our sales strategies. This role requires a skilled data expert with a proven track record in extracting insights from unstructured data, particularly in a B2B sales context. You'll combine your technical expertise with business acumen to transform complex data into clear, actionable recommendations. As a key player, you'll not only analyze data but also help author thought leadership pieces showcasing Gong's value proposition in the B2B technology sector.ResponsibilitiesMaximize the usefulness of Gong data by applying data science expertise to our unique and rich GTM conversation datasetWork with unstructured data to drive insights, innovate ways to extract insights from conversational data, and develop predictive capabilitiesCombine conversational data with other relevant GTM data points from various tools to support our GTM teamsDevelop and implement advanced analytics models and machine learning algorithms to uncover patterns and trends in sales conversationsQualificationsA minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience in data science within a Sales and / or GTM contextStrong experience with data science, statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive algorithmsProficiency in SQL and experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau) and programming languages (e.g., Python)Proven experience in extracting insights from data from pre-and post-sales sales and customer successExcellent communication skills, able to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendationsBachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related fieldYOU HAVEExperience working with conversational data (e.g., call transcripts, chat logs)Experience working with Snowflake data warehouseExpertise in software B2B business models, with specific functional expertise in Sales systemsExperience working with large-scale unstructured data, particularly conversational dataKnowledge of natural language processing (NLP) techniquesExperience in building and deploying machine learning models in a production environmentPerks & BenefitsWe offer Gongsters a variety of medical, dental, and vision plans, designed to fit you and your family’s needs.Wellbeing Fund - flexible wellness stipend to support a healthy lifestyle.Mental Health benefits with covered therapy and coaching.401(k) program to help you invest in your future.Education & learning stipend for personal growth and development.Flexible vacation time to promote a healthy work-life blend.Paid parental leave to support you and your family.Company-wide recharge days each quarter.Work from home stipend to help you succeed in a remote environment.The annual OTE for this position is $130,900 - $192,000 USD. Compensation is based on factors unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, qualification, education, experience, and location. At Gong, we have a location-based compensation structure, which means there may be a different range for candidates in other locations. The total compensation package for this position, in addition to base compensation, may include incentive compensation, bonus, equity, and benefits.
