This role requires strong hands-on mechanical skills, the ability to independently diagnose issues, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset. Technicians at this level are expected to work inside machines, restore equipment to operating condition, and support continuous improvement efforts across the plant.We value transferable mechanical experience and problem-solving ability over specific job titles or prior experience working on identical equipment.General DescriptionTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment and facility systems with limited supervisionWork with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to diagnose and resolve equipment issuesPerform preventive maintenance and support improvements to PM processes • Document work performed and share findings to support future troubleshooting and team learningKey ResponsibilitiesDiagnose mechanical and equipment issues and perform hands-on repairs to restore production equipmentRepair and replace components such as bearings, shafts, rollers, belts, and similar mechanical partsWork inside machines and equipment to troubleshoot failures and implement effective repairsPerform machine changeovers, setups, adjustments, and die changes as requiredComplete preventive maintenance tasks and suggest improvements to PM documentation and processesParticipate in daily machine walk-throughs with Operators to assess equipment condition and address concerns • Support TPM activities and contribute to continuous improvement initiativesAccurately record parts, materials, and labor associated with maintenance activitiesAssist with training or mentoring less-experienced maintenance team members as neededFollow all safety requirements, including lockout/tagout procedures, and promote a safe work environmentCommunicate effectively with Operations, Maintenance, and Leadership regarding equipment status and prioritiesDemonstrate reliability, teamwork, and a positive attitude while supporting plant needsPerform other duties as assignedMinimum QualificationsDemonstrated hands-on mechanical experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or equipment-intensive environmentExperience repairing or maintaining production equipment such as CNC, cutting, or similar machinery, or comparable experience from other industries involving complex equipment repairAbility to independently troubleshoot equipment issues and identify practical repair solutionsStrong work ethic, curiosity, and willingness to learn and take on new challengesReliable attendance and ability to work assigned shiftPreferred QualificationsTechnical certificate, associate degree, or equivalent combination of education and experienceThree or more years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experienceExperience with mechanical systems including bearings, shafts, rollers, and power transmission componentsExposure to electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systemsPrior experience supporting preventive maintenance or continuous improvement effortsPhysical RequirementsMust be able to stand for long periods of time; use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, and/or crouch.Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Must have close, distance, color, & peripheral vision abilities along with depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.*Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
