Mission Statement: To empower individuals and families to recover from addiction, trauma, mental illness and other chronic medical conditions; overcome homelessness; and achieve health and wellness through comprehensive, integrated care.Position: Oversees the day-to-day activities at the program and ensure the safety and security of residents at all times. Staffs the front desk, answers the phones, manages the daily client schedule, ensures that all client activities are completed, and manages the safety and security requirements for the house. Responsible for completing regular rounds, facilitating groups, and other administrative duties as assigned. Provides crisis intervention and medication monitoring. Must have computer/data entry skills. Must be English/Spanish bilingual.Responsibilities:Must be familiar with the structure and activities that occur during each shiftImplements all safety and security requirements for the house including fire drills, evacuation procedures, alarm and camera monitoring.Reports all safety and security concerns to appropriate authorities and staff.1) Residential Operations Manager 2) Senior Clinical Staff on Site 3) Clinical Director 4) Deputy Director5) 911 / Best Team Emergency ServicesResponsible for crisis intervention, counseling, and groups as neededMust participate in all mandatory safety and security trainingsMust participate in regularly scheduled Program and All Agency meetingsCoordinates all scheduled client activities and refers clients to appropriate staff for support.Monitors the front door and answers the front desk phoneEnsures that all windows and doors are secure, alarms are set.Ensures that all items that are potentially dangerous are secured in a locked location, i.e. knives, curling irons, irons, razors, etc.Monitors all use of client medications including over-the-counter medicationsMakes client medications available at prescribed intervalsObserves and records that all medication has been taken in the medication logSecures all client personal property in the designated secure location and completes property logConducts walkthroughs every two hours and complete H.M. checklist and logs as requiredEnsure all clients, visitors and staff sign in and outQualifications:Strong verbal/written skillsAbility to work independentlyAbility to work as member of a treatment teamEnglish/Spanish Bilingual requiredBicultural preferredStrong communication skillsAbility to communicate with clients, vendors, and external providers in a professional mannerAbility to handle multiple tasksAbility to understand and manage moral/ethical boundaries with clients/staffStrong interpersonal skillsAbility to meet the physical requirements of the position (see attached)Ability to meet the training requirements of the positionExperience:Minimum (2) years' experience as a House Manager in a residential programExperience working at a front desk area preferredMinimum (2) years in recovery if applicableEducation/Training required:High School Diploma or GEDKnowledge of addiction recovery process, or willingness to acquire within first six months of employmentCounseling and Substance Abuse trainingCPR/First Aid CertificationOverdose Prevention/NarcanValid Driver's LicenseFull Benefits
