Material Handler Forklift Operator (2nd Shift)

Job Description Schedule: Monday–Friday, must be open to a 12:00pm–3:00pm start time working 10-12 hour shiftsOvertime: Saturdays during peak seasonStarting hourly Pay $20.50 with an increases.Sick time, PTO and 100% Paid medical benefits.Position OverviewWe are seeking a dependable and safety‐driven Material Handler and Forklift Operator to join our team in Bergen, NY. This role involves operating forklifts, supporting production lines, and performing general material handling tasks throughout the facility. The Material Handler and Forklift Operator will also assist with cleaning, equipment upkeep, and maintaining a safe, organized work environment. Work takes place both indoors and outdoors, so comfort working in all weather conditions—including heat, cold, rain, snow, and dusty environments—is essential.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform daily forklift safety checks and fluid inspectionsSupply packaging lines with empty pallets and monitor pallet inventoryAssist on the production line as needed, including manual material handlingRemove palletized product from production lines and operate the stretch‐wrapperStore finished goods neatly and accurately in designated warehouse rowsMaintain plant cleanliness by sweeping, shoveling, restacking pallets, and removing debrisSupport general cleaning tasks throughout the facilityLoad outbound trucks according to BOLs and report any discrepanciesConduct physical inventory counts of finished goodsMeet quality, accuracy, and productivity standards consistentlyEnsure safe operation of all equipment and maintain proper fluid levelsSkills & CompetenciesProven experience as a Material Handler and Forklift OperatorWillingness to perform general material handling, production‐line support, and cleaning dutiesAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and climb on/off equipment repeatedlyComfortable sitting for extended periods while operating machineryStrong communication and basic math skillsAbility to read and write English or follow written/verbal instructionsComfortable working in hot, cold, dusty, or wet conditionsAvailability for mandatory overtime, including weekends and holidaysCompany DescriptionSkySource Solutions believes in attaining success.
