We are a global company with offices in Brisbane, Australia and Sandy, Utah.Opengear is seeking a Sr. Project Manager to lead cross‐functional initiatives within the Engineering organization. In this role, you will manage the development and implementation processes for Opengear products, partnering closely with Product Management, Engineering, and other technical disciplines. You will define project plans and schedules, identify required resources, track progress, manage risk, and ensure timely delivery of complex, multi‐phase technical projects. The Sr. Project Manager role operates with minimal supervision, exercising strong independent judgment, and often functions as a leader for both technical and cross‐functional project teams. If you're passionate about driving clarity, removing roadblocks, and enabling technical teams to deliver exceptional results — this is the role for you.What You Will DoDrive end‐to‐end project management for multiple engineering initiatives across the product development lifecycleDefine and maintain project scope, schedules, resources, milestones, and risk mitigation plansCoordinate activities across internal teams (Engineering, QA, Product, Operations, Support) and third‐party vendors when applicableServe as primary point of contact for project status, updates, and stakeholder communicationTrack project execution against objectives, proactively identify risks or delays, and develop mitigation strategiesFacilitate agile or hybrid project workflows including sprint planning, retrospectives, and issue trackingSupport process improvements, best practices, and tool adoption across the engineering project portfolioWho You Are and What You Bring5 years of experience leading technical or product development projects in a software or engineering environmentPMP certification or equivalent project management credential preferredBachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical fieldProven ability to manage complex technical projects involving cross‐functional teamsExpertise in Microsoft Project, Jira, or similar tools for project tracking and resource planningExcellent communication, planning, and problem‐solving skillsComfortable with ambiguity and capable of driving clarity through structured executionDesired but Not RequiredExperience in Quality Management Systems or regulated environmentsBackground in product development lifecycle or release managementFamiliarity with budget tracking and business case developmentPrior exposure to Agile, hybrid, or Scaled Agile frameworksVisa – We are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.
