You’ve architected high-cardinality metrics platforms, led observability engineering across distributed systems organizations, and you know how to drive that work across teams in a way that lasts. This is a platform engineering role at the highest level — you’re creating the telemetry infrastructure that makes massive distributed systems understandable to the engineers who build and run them.What You’ll Do:- Define and own the architectural direction for observability and telemetry platform infrastructure across the organization.- Establish engineering standards for metrics pipeline design, distributed tracing, and OpenTelemetry instrumentation.- Lead the most strategically significant observability platform initiatives from design through delivery.- Serve as the organizational authority on high-cardinality metrics systems and distributed systems observability.- Drive evaluation and adoption of AI/ML-based anomaly detection approaches across the telemetry platform.- Mentor staff and senior engineers, elevating observability engineering capability across the organization.What We Are Looking For:- 10+ years of experience in IT roles.- 7+ years of experience with Java as a primary language in platform or infrastructure engineering.- Expert knowledge of observability platform architecture including high-cardinality metrics pipelines and tracing systems.- Deep experience with OpenTelemetry and distributed systems instrumentation at enterprise scale.- AI/ML experience for anomaly detection is a plus.- Proven organizational influence and technical leadership at a Principal or equivalent level.- Advanced proficiency in English.How we do make your work (and your life) easier:- Remote Work.- Excellent compensation in USD or your local currency if preferred- Hardware and software setup for you to work from home.- Flexible hours: create your own schedule.- Paid parental leaves, vacations, and national holidays.- Innovative and multicultural work environment: collaborate and learn from the global Top 1% of talent.- Supportive environment with mentorship, promotions, skill development, and diverse growth opportunities.Join a global team where your unique talents can truly thrive and make a significant impact!Apply now!
