A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work every other weekend schedule • Float across all campuses including Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran • Care for pulmonary and medical surgical patients on 23-bed unit • Work with patients requiring bi-pap, trach care, and ventilated patients • Administer heparin drips and provide charge nurse responsibilities • 24 months of Med Surg experience required • Pulmonary patient care experience required • Experience with ventilated patients highly preferred • Charge experience required • Level I trauma experience highly preferred • Will accept first-time travelers if 2 years Med Surg experience requirement is met • Must be able to start orientation on 4/13 • EMR system: Epic • Required certifications: BLS (AHA or American Red Cross) • Iowa nursing license required (compact/multistate accepted) • Skills checklist specific to medical surgical discipline required • Professional reference from charge/supervisor/nurse manager within 24 months preferred Facility: This healthcare organization operates multiple campus locations providing comprehensive medical services including Level I trauma care.
