Mobile Maintenance Technician

Job Description Who are we? Tom's Complete Construction (TCC) is a construction company that works in conjunction with Fischer Asset Management, a property management company, to carry out property maintenance, renovations, and typical property management functions for single-family homes, duplexes, and apartment complexes in the Cleveland and Akron areas.The cool part about us – we are growing rapidly, and taking on management for more units everyday, which require maintenance. We are looking to hire for skilled maintenance and construction personnel to help us meet that demand, who are looking for a company that they can grow with and offer the opportunity for advancement.TCC is committed to improving and providing better-quality housing options, providing efficient and high quality maintenance to property owners and tenants.The Mobile Maintenance Technician will respond to work orders across our portfolio, throughout the Cleveland and Akron areas, utilizing our property management software to track and document incoming and completed work orders. This role takes direction from the Maintenance Supervisor and duties generally follow the below:Day to Day Responsibilities:Respond to maintenance work orders at occupied and vacant residential properties throughout the Cleveland and Akron areas.Diagnose and complete general repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, flooring, doors, windows, locks, appliances, and other common building systems.Perform unit turns between tenants, including punch-out work, repairs, fixture replacement, paint touch-ups, cleaning coordination, and readiness inspections.Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce emergency repairs and extend the life of property systems and equipment.Troubleshoot maintenance issues efficiently and determine when outside vendors or additional support are needed.Communicate professionally with tenants, managers, and internal team members regarding repairs, scheduling, and property needs.Utilize company property management software (Appfolio) to update, document, and close work orders with accurate notes, photos, and material usage.What kind of skills / experience will we be looking for out of this role?Proven experience in residential maintenance, apartment maintenance, handyman services, construction, or general labor.Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, carpentry, painting, and basic HVAC troubleshooting.Ability to diagnose problems, prioritize repairs, and complete work independently with minimal supervision.Experience using hand tools, power tools, ladders, and common maintenance equipment safely and effectively.Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple work orders across different locations.Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and software applications for scheduling and work order management.Professional communication skills and a customer-service mindset when interacting with residents and owners.Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.In exchange for your skills and experience we offer the following:Hourly PayHealth/Dental/Vision Benefits – eligible for benefits after 30 days of employmentPTO / Holiday time offAdvancement Opportunity
