Facilities Engineering Project Manager Cedar Falls IA 12 months contract Provides engineering and project management for manufacturing facility infrastructure, production equipment, maintenance systems, and construction improvement projects. Job Requirements Experience managing engineering, facilities, maintenance, or construction projects Five or more years of experience coordinating skilled trades, contractors, and project resources Three or more years of experience with mechanical, electrical, or structural building infrastructure systems Three or more years of experience applying engineering principles within manufacturing operations Experience in manufacturing engineering, operations supervision, or maintenance engineering Knowledge of OSHA safety standards Experience managing multiple active projects Ability to interpret facility, equipment, and construction drawings and specifications Experience coordinating work involving production equipment, utilities, building systems, and facility infrastructure Knowledge of life-safety and building-code requirements Preferred Skills Experience with Emergency Notification Systems Experience coordinating projects with information technology and network teams Experience coordinating with property insurance or risk-engineering organizations Experience with hot-work permit requests and red-tag reviews Experience with non-mobile material-handling equipment Experience managing outside engineering firms, design professionals, and contractors Knowledge of environmental, ergonomic, occupational health, and facility safety programs Experience sourcing suppliers, equipment, materials, and construction services Job Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and manage multidisciplinary facility and maintenance projects Implement changes to manufacturing facilities, infrastructure, equipment, and production processes Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, specifications, and implementation plans Assign, coordinate, and review work performed by contractors and support personnel Provide engineering design support for facility infrastructure, grounds, production equipment, and manufacturing processes Manage projects involving production machinery, building systems, utilities, maintenance systems, and distribution operations Coordinate mechanical, electrical, structural, information technology, and network project activities Support Emergency Notification System projects and upgrades Coordinate facility risk and insurance-related engineering activities Review hot-work requests, red-tag conditions, and related facility controls Troubleshoot facility infrastructure and production equipment problems Perform life-safety and building-code analyses Identify and support correction of environmental, safety, ergonomic, and occupational health hazards Coordinate the engineering and installation of non-mobile material-handling equipment Develop technical requirements for equipment, materials, and contracted services Research and evaluate qualified suppliers and contractors Obtain competitive and negotiated sources for maintenance and construction projects Monitor project progress, contractor performance, costs, schedules, and completion requirements Maintain engineering calculations, project records, drawings, specifications, and closeout documentation #GRPA Job Disclaimer: Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
