Title: Electronics Test Technician (SMT & Assembly) Location: Greater Danbury Area, CT (100% onsite) Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire Status: Accepting CandidatesAbout the roleJoin a manufacturing team building and testing advanced handheld instruments. This role focuses on hands-on assembly, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality electronic products.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble and test handheld analytical instruments following detailed work instructionsPerform functional testing and system-level buildsTroubleshoot electrical and electronic issues on complex devicesConduct visual inspection using stereo microscope and ensure quality standardsUse lab equipment such as digital multimeters, power supplies, torque tools, and pin gaugesDocument test results and generate quality/test reportsQualifications3+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing or test environmentHands-on experience with SMT (Surface Mount Technology)Strong skills in electronic assembly, testing, and troubleshootingExperience using multimeters, power supplies, and microscopesAbility to follow detailed processes with strong attention to detailComfortable working independently and in a team environmentPay RateEstimated hourly range: $30/hr (W-2).Final rate within this range will be based on skills, experience, and interview results.
