🧬 Director level Clinical Scientist | Neuromuscular Disorders (Urgent)Hartmann Young are partnering with a fast‑growing, privately held biotech advancing a novel therapeutic platform in neuromuscular disease, targeting areas of significant unmet patient need.This is a high‑impact Clinical Scientist role within a lean, agile organisation, offering meaningful ownership across clinical development and the opportunity to influence programme strategy. Depending on experience, this position could be scoped at Senior Clinical Scientist or Director level.While Dallas, Texas based candidates are preferred, remote working is fully supported for the right profile.This is an urgent hire and a rare opportunity to join a small biotech at a critical inflection point.The RoleYou will provide scientific leadership across neuromuscular clinical development programmes, working hands‑on with internal and external stakeholders to drive high‑quality trial execution. Responsibilities include:Scientific leadership across neuromuscular clinical studies, from design through execution and data interpretationAuthoring and reviewing key clinical documents including protocols, Investigator’s Brochures, CSRs, and regulatory responsesClose collaboration with Clinical Operations, Regulatory, Biometrics, Translational, and external partnersHands‑on involvement in protocol development, study amendments, and clinical strategySupporting medical monitoring activities, safety review, and data review processesActing as a key scientific interface with CROs, investigators, and clinical sites to ensure trial quality and alignmentExpertise We’re Looking ForMD or PhD requiredProven experience as a Clinical Scientist within a small or mid‑size biotech environmentDepth of disease‑area expertise in neuromuscular disorders, with strongest preference for:Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD)Facioscapulohumeral Muscular Dystrophy (FSHD)Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA)Broader muscular disordersAdditional experience in ALS or Myasthenia Gravis is highly desirableHands‑on experience working clinically on trials, collaborating directly with clinical operations and regulatory teamsExceptional scientific writing skills and very high attention to detailComfortable operating autonomously in a fast‑moving, resource‑lean biotech settingWhy Join?Join a mission‑driven biotech focused on neuromuscular diseases at a pivotal growth stageHigh degree of scientific ownership and strategic visibilityFlat organisational structure with direct influence on clinical decision‑makingFlexible working model (remote supported)Opportunity to make a meaningful impact for patients with serious, underserved conditions
