Come join our journey, and experience what it means to be Done Right with Rhoads.\nWe are currently looking for a Technician to join our Advanced Training Center (ATC.) The ATC Technician is responsible for assisting in the operations at the Rhoads Industries Advanced training Center supporting the manager and instructors in training operations to include welding coupon processing, maintaining inventory, general maintenance of equipment and facilities.\nWhat You Will Be Doing\n\nCoordinates all aspects of welding coupon processing at the direction of the ATC Manager and instructors to include:\nCutting and preparing welding coupons for bend testing per instruction.\nMaintaining coupon cutting lab, assures it is organized and cleaned after each day.\nMaintains and guarantees equipment is kept in good working order and informs ATC manager of any breakdowns or safety concerns.\nConducts preventative maintenance of equipment in coupon cutting lab.\n\n\nGeneral duties of the ATC Technician:\nMaintains welding consumable inventory reporting to the ATC manager of items to be replenished.\nAssists with supporting new welders, apprentice program and upskilling cohorts at the direction of the ATC Manager.\nPerforms general maintenance of equipment at the ATC.\nHelps/ perform ATC upgrades directed by the ATC manager.\n\n\nAdditional duties as assigned.\n\nYour Background\n\nHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.\nWelding experience and thermal cutting proficiency are preferred.\nDemonstrated experience performing maintenance and repair of shop equipment.\nAbility to provide and utilize personal tools necessary to perform general shop equipment maintenance.\nStrong basic math, measurement, and mechanical aptitude skills.\nAbility to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.\nAbility to work an on-site schedule of five 8-hour shifts per week, with flexibility to work extended shifts, overtime, or weekends as needed.\nStrong time management, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and responsibilities in a fast-paced, growing organization.\nDemonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate professionally and effectively.\n\nThe Work Environment at Rhoads\n\nThe performance of this position involves exposure to construction or industrial areas where the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hard hats and hearing protection is required.\nThis position requires standing for long periods of time, being able to lift 25 lbs. and climb ladders.\n\nWhat Rhoads Can Offer You\nAt Rhoads Industries, our team is the foundation of our success.
