Our orthopedic services also extend to an Outreach clinic located in Marshall, Texas.Job OverviewShriners Children's Shreveport is seeking a Certified Physical Therapy Assistant to join our Rehab department. In this position you will provide physical therapy treatment services for assigned patients under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. We are currently seeking a PRN employee, with desired working hours between 3-6 p.m. 2-3 days per week.ResponsibilitiesImplements a physical therapy treatment plan developed by supervision Physical Therapist, to address the short and long term goals of each patient in a timely manner and in compliance with departmental policies and standards of care.Adapts intervention environments, tools, materials, methods and activities according to the needs of the individual patient.Communicates status changes of patient to supervising PT for re-evaluation and modification of treatment plans and goals.Participates in discharge planning, under the supervision of the licensed PT, to assure completion of patient and family education/training and equipment needs.Documents treatment and progress in the medical record accurately and within established time lines.Communicates regularly with supervising licensed PT regarding the development and implementation of treatment plan via regularly scheduled and documented case conference regarding the patient.This is not an all-inclusive list of this job's responsibilities.
