Leadership is looking for someone to bring fresh ideas, improve processes, and leave a lasting impact.High level of visibility with executive leadership and the opportunity to influence engineering strategy and manufacturing performance.Complex, low-volume/high-mix machining environment supporting aerospace, defense, and other precision manufacturing markets.Strong opportunity for professional growth as the company continues expanding operations and investing in its engineering organization.Collaborative leadership team that values engineering input and empowers employees to drive meaningful improvements.Responsibilities:Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Manufacturing and Process Engineers while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Oversee CNC programming strategies, tooling, fixturing, workholding, routings, and manufacturing process development for complex precision-machined components.Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives focused on reducing cycle times, increasing throughput, improving machine utilization, and eliminating waste.Analyze manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvements, capacity expansion, and overall operational excellence.Partner with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Leadership to resolve manufacturing challenges and improve plant performance.Support new product introduction (NPI) by developing robust manufacturing processes that ensure quality, repeatability, and profitability.Lead process optimization efforts utilizing root cause analysis, data-driven decision making, and structured problem-solving methodologies.Improve standard work, process documentation, manufacturing routings, and engineering best practices across the operation.Evaluate new tooling, machining technologies, cutting strategies, and manufacturing methods to improve productivity and competitiveness.Support capital equipment evaluations, implementation of new manufacturing technologies, and future automation initiatives.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field preferred.7+ years of engineering experience within a precision CNC machining or contract manufacturing environment.Previous leadership experience managing engineering teams, projects, or manufacturing initiatives.Strong understanding of CNC machining, tooling, fixturing, GD&T, blueprint interpretation, machining processes, and manufacturing best practices.Experience leading Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or operational excellence initiatives.
