Senior Application Developer, Student Applications

GTS Technology Solutions is recruiting for a Senior Application Developer, Student Applications for a contract-to hire role with a university client in Denton, TX.The selected candidate will support student applications, financial aid systems, integrations, database development, reporting, troubleshooting, and stakeholder communication.What you will do:Develop, support, and maintain student application solutions in a higher education environment.Work with Ellucian Colleague SIS, Oracle Student Financial Aid, SQL Server, Oracle Database, and related integrations.Build, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize data flows, batch processes, reports, APIs, and system integrations.Partner with Financial Aid, Registrar, Bursar, IT, and other campus stakeholders to resolve issues and support business-critical student processes.Maintain clear documentation, communicate system issues effectively, and support reliable day-to-day operations.What we are looking for:8+ years of enterprise application development, preferably in higher education or another complex business environment.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.Hands-on experience with Ellucian Colleague SIS, such as Colleague Studio, UniBasic, UniData, DMIS, BAR processes, or Colleague Web API.Oracle Student Financial Aid or Oracle SFA experience, including COD, NSLDS, G5, Title IV, batch processing, or regulatory updates.Advanced T-SQL and PL/SQL experience.Integration experience with Oracle Integration Cloud, SSIS, REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML, or ETL processes.Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and nontechnical teams.Reliable onsite availability and a practical commute to Denton, TX.Preferred experience:Ellucian Ethos, Banner, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Workday Student, Oracle Student Cloud, or other higher education SIS platforms.Reporting experience with SSRS, Power BI, or student systems data.Familiarity with FERPA, Title IV, and institutional data governance.Experience supporting Financial Aid, Registrar, Bursar, enrollment, or student records teams.This is a strong fit for someone who understands how important student systems are to a university environment and can bring both technical ownership and dependable communication.
