You can learn more about us on Glassdoor.Your MissionAs an IT Systems Engineer at Propeller, you will be the driving force behind uplifting and maturing our IT support function in Denver. You'll handle the technical support that keeps our team moving, while dedicating significant time to leveling up our infrastructure, automating onboarding workflows and physically expanding our on-premise server room to meet our customer's needs.This is a hands-on role where you will blend user support with critical infrastructure work—building racks, physically upgrading servers, troubleshooting hardware issues and ensuring our servers run smoothly. You'll have the autonomy to lead projects from concept to completion, translating complex technical challenges into simple solutions while ensuring our global team stays connected and secure.Your ResponsibilitiesDeliver exceptional support: Manage day-to-day user requests and IT office support in Denver, troubleshooting complex hardware, networking, and AV issues to keep the team movingOwn the infrastructure: Build, maintain, and expand our on-premise server room, handling the physical "rack and stack," cable management, and hardware upgrades required to meet our cost and capacity goalsAutomate and optimize: Identify and implement automation for manual processes such as new hire onboarding and account setupsMature our systems: Lead independent projects to upgrade our MDM solutions and security protocols, ensuring our fleet of laptops remains compliant, secure, and operationalCreate knowledge: Document designs, troubleshooting guides, and manuals to ensure technical concepts are accessible to the broader audience and future team membersRequirementsYour SkillsYou have 1-2+ years of experience in a similar role, OR a relevant degree backed by hands-on internship experienceYou have a strong foundational knowledge in networking (WiFi, firewalls), MacOS administration, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical problemsYou have foundational knowledge of PC architecture (perhaps you've built your own) and a solid grasp of networking basics. You possess excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts simply to stakeholders who may not be tech-savvyYou are a self-starter who can independently lead IT projects from scope to implementation, navigating ambiguity to figure things out on the goYou have experience with MDM solutions (such as JumpCloud), and directory services are highly valuedYou bring either hands-on AI exposure or curiosity with leveraging AI-driven automation to streamline and optimize operational workflowsPreferred But Not RequiredHands-on experience working in server rooms or data centers and are comfortable with physical hardware maintenance, cabling, and infrastructure upgradesExposure to Linux-based server environmentsBenefitsFully paid employee United Platinum PPO medical, dental, and vision coverage20 days paid vacation time per year with no accrual or carryover cap3% non-elective employer contribution to 401(k)Employee share options Professional development budget and leaveThe opportunity to take part in our mentorship programMonthly telephone and/or internet allowancePaid primary & secondary parental leave policiesHybrid work arrangements and WFH equipment providedThe salary range offered for this role is $80,000 - $92,500. This range is tied to the market for this job in Colorado. Any salary offer extended will be based on skills, knowledge and experience.
