Help us reach new heights and receive the respect, rewards and recognition you deserve.As a Wheel Remanufacturing Technician III your essential job functions include:Working on site in our Dent Wizard wheel remanufacturing facility, you’ll fix cosmetic damages (curb and road rash, peeling, scrapes, gouges, oxidation and bent wheels) using spray-painting and powder coating equipment, power tools and work aids. Tasks include painting surfaces, inspecting wheels, prepping and buffing defects, mixing colors and powder coating.Perform the following items (80%)InspectionThoroughly inspect wheels for color matching.Determine paint and powder process for full restoration to factory specification.Repair And RestorationMix paint colors to color match wheelsPowder coat wheels to industry standardRe-paint or re-finish the wheels to match the original appearance or as specified by the customer.Quality ControlConduct thorough quality control inspection to ensure finish product meets factory specificationQuality Control and Service Excellence (20%)Perform quality checks to ensure that the wheels meet safety and appearance standards.Make any necessary adjustments or repairs.Mix to specified color using standard formulas or color charts and Paint surfaces of wheels using spray-painting equipmentCompetencies RequiredOther Duties as AssignedTeamwork and CollaborationCommunication SkillsProcess and Planning OrientationPosition RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 5 years' experience in a similar environmentMust be proficient in automotive parts preparation, reconditioning, buffing and sandingKnowledge of wheel repair and restoration techniquesGreat communication skills to interact with customersManual dexterity for repetitive-motion tasks; proficiency with hand and power toolsStrong work ethic, self-motivation and the ability to work independentlyPhysical Job RequirementsWork in well-ventilated automotive repair shops or refurbishing facilitiesPhysical stamina to frequently kneel, bend and squat, as well as lift up to 45 pounds; lift heavy wheels and work in various weather conditions.Drug PolicyAll applicants being considered for employment must pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and geographic location.The Starting Compensation Is Expected To Be$22.00 - $25.00/ HourWe offer a competitive & comprehensive benefit package including: paid time off, medical, dental, vision, and 401k match (50% on the dollar up to 7% of employee contribution).
