Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years Stepdown RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A healthcare facility in Central Arizona is seeking experienced registered nurses for a travel assignment specializing in Med Surg, Telemetry, and PCU float pool units. This role offers a valuable opportunity to engage with diverse patient populations while utilizing advanced clinical skills in a fast-paced environment.Qualifications/Desired Experience:Current RN license in the state of assignmentMinimum 2 years recent Med Surg or Telemetry nursing experienceAt least 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experienceACLS and BLS certifications requiredProficiency in interpreting telemetry strips and dysrhythmias (passing a dysrhythmia exam with an 80% score required)Experience with Cerner electronic medical record system preferredCompetence with cardiac patient care including CHF, respiratory conditions, post cath, and total joint replacement patientsAbility to titrate select drips such as Diltiazem/Cardizem at preset ratesFamiliarity with respiratory support equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, and high flow oxygen therapyResponsibilities:Provide skilled nursing care in Med Surg, Telemetry, and PCU units with 49 beds and a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:5Interpret telemetry strips regularly and document findings once per shiftCollaborate with charge nurses and multidisciplinary teams to support high-quality patient outcomesFloat to East Campus or PCU units as needed based on qualificationsParticipate in a self-scheduling system with 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. shifts and weekend/holiday coverage requirementsSchedule/Hours:12-hour shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.Two weekends scheduled within each 4-week periodHoliday coverage includes Christmas, New Years, and Thanksgiving with rotation between days and eveningsLocation Overview:Chino Valley, AZ, offers a blend of small-town charm and access to expansive natural beauty in central Arizona.
