Automotive Insurance Estimator

We are looking for a full-time, dependable, highly motivated, and friendly individual to join our Body Shop team. Responsibilities: The Body Shop Estimator is a customer service representative at the dealership. Duties include: Prepare Estimates for Insurance companies and potential customers Assist customers with the repair process from the initial estimate to the final delivery. Follow up progress of each repair order during the day. Maintain contact with the customer regarding status. On completion of work, deliver the vehicle to the customer and close out the repair order in the dealership management system. Qualifications: Automotive industry or Insurance Claims Experience Interact well with Customers Analytical and detail-oriented Looking for Experience or someone willing to learn with some background in automotive or insurance claims Duties Assess and estimate the cost of repairs for damaged vehicles in the body shop Examine vehicles to determine the extent of damage and identify necessary repairs Collaborate with customers and insurance adjusters to discuss repair options and provide accurate estimates Prepare detailed repair plans and communicate them to the technicians Order necessary parts and materials for repairs Monitor the progress of repairs and ensure they are completed within the estimated time frame Conduct final inspections to ensure quality standards are met before returning vehicles to customers Requirements Previous experience in automotive service, diagnostics, or repair is required Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems Knowledge of auto body repair techniques and processes Ability to accurately assess and estimate repair costs Excellent communication skills to interact with customers, insurance adjusters, and technicians Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Familiarity with service writing software is preferred Experience with diesel engine repair, air brake systems, or transmission repair is a plus Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
