PL/SQL Developer

*Job Title: PL/SQL Developer* *Location:* Remote / Nashville, TN (Hybrid if local) *Job Type:* Contract *Job Summary* Client is seeking an experienced *PL/SQL Developer / Lead / Architect* with strong expertise in Oracle Database development, performance tuning, and production support. The ideal candidate should have experience designing, developing, and optimizing complex PL/SQL applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. *Key Responsibilities* · Design, develop, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and views. * Optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL code for high performance and scalability. * Analyze and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal downtime. * Perform query tuning, indexing, partitioning, and execution plan analysis. * Develop and maintain database objects, data models, and ETL processes. * Collaborate with application developers, business analysts, and DBAs to deliver robust solutions. * Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards and best practices. * Support database deployments, releases, and production maintenance. * Work in an Agile/Scrum environment and provide technical leadership when required. *Required Skills* · 8+ years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL development. * Strong expertise in Oracle Database (11g/12c/19c or later). * Hands-on experience with SQL, PL/SQL, Stored Procedures, Functions, Packages, Triggers, and Cursors. * Experience with SQL performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and partitioning. * Strong understanding of Oracle execution plans and database performance analysis. * Experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting. * Knowledge of Git, Jira, and CI/CD practices. * Excellent troubleshooting and production support experience. * Strong communication and problem-solving skills. *Preferred Skills* · Experience with Oracle APEX, Oracle Forms/Reports, or Oracle Cloud. * Knowledge of ETL tools such as Informatica or ODI. * Experience with data migration and large-scale database implementations. * Prior experience leading development teams or working as a Technical Lead/Architect. *Nice to Have* · Banking, Healthcare, Insurance, or Retail domain experience. Experience working with distributed teams and enterprise applications. Pay: $53.84 - $55.25 per hour Work Location: In person
