We partner with clients across Colorado and Texas to design and deliver mission-critical infrastructure. *Position Summary* We're seeking an Electrical Engineer I to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to develop hands-on experience in industrial power distribution, instrumentation, and controls design while working alongside senior engineers on real capital projects. This role is based in either our Denver, CO or Houston, TX office. *What You'll Do* * Support the design of electrical power distribution systems for industrial and process facilities, including motor control centers, switchgear, and low/medium voltage systems * Develop and revise electrical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD * Assist with instrumentation and controls design for skid-based process systems * Support field verification, as-built documentation, and drawing revisions * Collaborate with senior engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure designs meet project requirements and applicable codes (NEC and industry standards) * Participate in design reviews and contribute to technical documentation and proposals * Occasionally support site visits and field data collection as project needs require *What We're Looking For* * Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering- US schooling * 2+ years of relevant engineering experience * Proficiency in AutoCAD required * Exposure to oil & gas, chemical processing, or similar industrial environments preferred * Working knowledge of electrical codes and standards (NEC) a plus * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a small-team environment * Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits *What We Offer* * Hands-on experience across the full engineering lifecycle — from proposal through field startup * Direct mentorship from senior engineers on real capital projects * A small-company environment where your contributions have visible impact * Competitive salary and benefits *To Apply* Send your resume and a brief cover letter to jfreezer@freezerengineering.com with the subject line "Electrical Engineer I – [Denver/Houston]."
