Job DescriptionJob SummaryWe are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to join the Sustainment Manufacturing Engineering Team (Split Shift 11am-8pm). This role focuses on developing and optimizing manufacturing processes, with a strong emphasis on lamination, metal deposition, coatings of acrylic-based applications. The ideal candidate will be eager to grow in a fast-paced aerospace environment and demonstrate foundational proficiency across core manufacturing engineering competencies.Job ResponsibilitiesProcess Development & Optimization\nSupport implementation of APQP and AS9145 methodologies.\nAssist in developing PFMEAs, control plans, process flow diagrams*, and validation protocols.\nContribute to first article inspection (FAIR*) and ensure AS9102 compliance.\nApply strict clean room protocols and SPC analysis (Cp/Cpk*) to critical processes.\nParticipate in process optimization* for repeatability, efficiency, and defect reduction.\n\nSpecialized Process Experience\nSupport development and troubleshooting of:\nLamination (composite or adhesive-based)\nMetal deposition (Vacuum Metalizing, thermal spray, plating, or additive processes)\nCoatings (functional, protective, or aesthetic)\nAcrylics (bonding, forming, or finishing)\n\nTechnical & Quality Support\nInterpret engineering drawings and contribute to tooling design and CAD* modeling (Siemens NX preferred).\nAssist in creating and maintaining work instructions and revision control.\nSupport MRB/PRB activities and nonconformance disposition*.\nParticipate in internal/external audits* and layered process audits.\nEnsure compliance with AS9100, ISO9001, and site corrective action process*es.\n\nContinuous Improvement & Collaboration\nContribute to Lean projects* and capital/tooling implementation.\nApply root cause analysis tools (DMAIC, 8D, Fishbone, 5-Whys*) to resolve issues.\nCollaborate cross-functionally to align stakeholders and support project execution.\nPresent technical findings and support project tracking/reporting.\n\nJob Qualifications\nBachelor&#39;s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical Engineering, or related field.\n3-5 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering, preferably in aerospace or regulated environments.\nExposure to lamination, metal deposition, coatings, or acrylic-based manufacturing processes.\nFamiliarity with APQP, AS9145, PFMEA, SPC, and FAIR* documentation.\nWorking knowledge of ISO9000, AS9100*, or D1-9000 quality systems.\nFluent in English (written and spoken).\nMust be a U.S. Person per ITAR regulations.\nWillingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally (<5%).\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\nExperience with Teamcenter PLM, ECNs, and CAD* tools (Siemens NX preferred).\nExposure to clean room protocols and MSA techniques.\nUnderstanding of Design for Manufacturability and Characteristics Matrix.\nParticipation in Lean initiatives or Six Sigma training.\nStrong time and priority management* skills.\nAbility to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.\n\nCompensation DataAnnual Salary: $91,000.00 - $114,000.00
